Waterside Forge

Waterside Metal Art Studio is Melbourne's leading blacksmith forge / metal art studio located in a heritage listed building on the riversedge in Footscray. The main building of the studio is 14m x 8m and has an open plan layout with 11 active working blacksmith forges/anvils and metal working equipment established around the periphery. The central 4m x 9m can be cleared for seating and performance. At the end of the main room is also a small bar. A side room contains a single toilet, kitchen and storage area. There is a 6m x 6m outdoor and secure yard space located next to and directly accesible from the main building which can be used for temporary storage. The main building and yard open up directly onto a dead-end section of Maribyrnong St.
