Melbourne Fringe Artist Council

Central to Melbourne Fringe’s core operations is the guiding principle that centring artists in our work supports a healthier, more vibrant culture. Our core programs seek to support artists throughout the creative process, from the earliest stages of imagining an idea, through to its testing, public season, and future life. We work to invest in artists, supporting them to build more sustainable careers as independent practitioners, as well as through commissioning new work.

As part of this ongoing commitment to deep consultation with the sector, Melbourne Fringe has recruited 11 artists to join the inaugural Artist Council for 2023. The main purpose of the Artist Council is to invite dialogue, collaborative exchanges and critical feedback on Melbourne Fringe’s artist support programs.

The inaugural members of the 2023 Artist Council who have requested to have their names published are:
