Fed Square - Amphitheatre

Opposite the glorious St. Paul's Cathedral and right next door to the densest foot traffic in all of Fed Square, the Flinders St Amphitheatre is a marvel of ingenious sound design. Inspired by the amphitheatres of Rome and Greece, sound is captured and amplified within the amphitheatre, and yet blocked as if by magic from Flinders St next door. The result is a venue that enjoys both the benefits of public access and high foot traffic and the boons of smaller, more private seating for up to 300 people, with access into the Main Square to boot. It's perfect for public performances, artistic installations, leisure and health activities, promotional events and more!
