The Melbourne Fringe Touring Award(s) go to...

Our Creative Director, Simon Abrahams – and Participant Services team – have visited Fringe Festivals across the country (and the world) to see some exciting new work. With our Tour Ready program, we have handpicked some amazing and unmissable shows to bring back home. You don’t have to leave Melbourne to embrace the art from other cities – all you need to do is jump off the couch and come to Melbourne Fringe Festival this September.

And the Melbourne Fringe Touring Award(s) go to…

  • Feminah is a cabaret piece all the way from Perth’s Fringe World – about the vulgar women of the world, who embrace all things trashy and beastly and that celebrate their intrinsically hideous selves.
  • Everything Not Saved – presented at Edinburgh Fringe, this is a show about memory for anyone who wants to be tickled, provoked, or has a brain and has ever worried about what it’s not telling them.
  • Jane Doe coming from Sydney Fringe, is a theatre show reflecting on rape culture in our communities.

Seven months away from the Festival, we have already got something for you to look forward to. While you’re waiting, holding your breath (don’t suffocate) for the coming of September, there are 29 Melbourne Fringe shows that are currently happening at the Adelaide Fringe. Plus, Melbourne International Comedy Festival is just around the corner, so you can also check out the 21 shows you missed at Fringe last year.
