A Zoom Group Project: The Musical – CANCELLED

4 students, 1 assignment, [Enter Global Pandemic]

  • Written by: Joshua Connell and Stephanie Lee

It’s the start of 2020. Australia has endured fires, floods and protests. Victoria is now plummeting into state-wide lockdown to combat the highly contagious Covid-19. However, students Brandon, Tiffany, Lachlan and Amy have a bigger issue to worry about: a group project. The students must coordinate their group meetings entirely over Zoom. Tensions rise as the students’ priorities and working styles clash, forcing them to reflect on their goals and ambitions.

Presented by The Butterfly Club, A Zoom Group Project: The Musical, is a hilarious and relatable, yet touching, original musical comedy examining the abnormal nature of education during a pandemic. Follow our characters as they experience revelations about their relationships, dreams and identities, all over Zoom.

Will these four uni students be able to defy the odds and ace this assignment? Or will their differences get in the way...

This project is amplified by a Monash University Microgrant.
