20 years of the Afghan War – CANCELLED

Was the war worth fighting? What’s the legacy of the conflict? What’s the future of Afghanistan?

  • Concept by: Antony Loewenstein & Tia Kass

Please note: The 2021 Fringe Festival season of 20 Years of the Afghan War has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience.

"Twenty Years" is a timely, collaborative project with leading Afghan and Australian artists that will assess the legacy of the Afghan war for both Australia and Afghanistan through a range of contemporary art forms and multidisciplinary events.

It will provoke and engage one of the longest wars in modern times asking key questions: Was the war worth fighting? What’s the real legacy of the conflict? What’s the future of Afghanistan? What’s the role of Afghans in Australia and the Diaspora?
