Italian Social Club Altona

The Italian Social Club Altona is a social centre for the community, bringing together those who share a common pursuit of friendship and exchange of Italian experience and culture. They hire their spaces to the community for use in a variety of contexts. For this year's Melbourne Fringe Festival, THE RABBLE have hired this space to present their work, WAKE. The Substation, as a commissioner of WAKE, are managing the operation of the Italian Social Club Altona as a Fringe venue.

    Italian Social Club Altona is wheelchair accessible.

    There is step free access to the venue and wheelchair users enter at the main entrance. There are two accessible toilets options, one that is fully accessible and one that is partially accessible. There is a portable wheelchair compliant toilet outside, near the entrance to the venue. There is also a toilet inside which is partially accessible, it is partially accessible as the hallway and doorway into the accessible toilet is 790mm. The doorway is not automated and requires a 90 degree turn. Some people may need assistance opening the toilet door. It has one grab rail on the left hand side only.
