Alex Theatre St Kilda - Vass Theatre

This theatre has a total of 450 seats spread over two levels (491 seats if the stage extension is removed). The stalls accommodate 382 people with the mezzanine seating another 68 people. The venue is specially designed such that if hirers choose not to open the mezzanine, from the audience’s perspective, the theatre still seems ‘full’ with only the stalls in operation. It boasts exceptional sight lines, generous leg room, and a welcoming atmosphere. The stage is 8 metres wide by 5 metres deep and is encased by a proscenium with five overhead lighting/scenery bars. A stage extension can be added making the depth 6.2 meters but seats will need to be removed to accommodate.
