Where an exchange is made to a less expensive ticket type or performance date, the price difference will not be refunded. Where an exchange is made to a ticket type or performance date of equal or greater value any additional cost plus the exchange fee must be paid at the time of the exchange.
Exchanges must be requested at least 24 hours in advance of the performance time.
Holders of valid concession cards are eligible for concession price tickets:
You may be asked to show your valid concession card when purchasing or collecting your tickets and/or on entering the venue. Concession prices are not applicable on all events or performances.
Some events will offer discounts for booking multiple tickets. The number in brackets next to ‘Group’ indicates how big your group needs to be in order to qualify for the group discount. Prices listed are per ticket. Group prices are not applicable on all events or performances.
Unless otherwise specified, children under the age of two do not need a ticket. Please note, this means children will need to sit on your lap (for in-person events) as they will not have a seat. Please be mindful of the show’s content when taking along a small child. Please note, babes-in-arms are not allowed entry to any events that are specified 18+.
Any advertised discounts apply to full price tickets only and cannot be redeemed on Hump Day or Preview performances.
The Hub Club 25% off ticket offer is only available on tickets at Festival Hub: Trades Hall and is limited to two tickets per performance. The offer is only applicable on full price tickets and cannot be redeemed on Preview performances. Melbourne Fringe reserves the right to make alterations to the Hub Club scheme without prior notice.
All ticketed events accept Companion Cards. To book a companion ticket using your companion card, please contact Melbourne Fringe on (03) 9660 9666 or boxoffice@melbournefringe.com.au.

Upon entry to a venue, ticketholders agree to be captured by photography or video for promotional use of Melbourne Fringe. It is also a condition of entry to a performance that no recording or photographic devices are used, including mobile phones, which must be switched off prior to the beginning of the performance. Your fellow participants and performer/artists will be delighted by your manners.
Ticket purchased online at melbournefringe.com.au will be issued as E-Tickets. This requires customers to have a valid email address. Please ensure you have checked your spam folder if you have not received the tickets to your inbox. For in person events, E-Tickets can be printed or presented at the venue on a smart phone or tablet. If printed, please ensure that the QR code is clear and able to be scanned. Ticket barcodes should be kept securely and treated like cash. For Digital Fringe events, your E-Ticket will contain a link(s) to the digital event page of the performance(s) you have booked for. You will need to log in to the Melbourne Fringe website in order to access this page. You are permitted to share this link only with any other audience members you have booked tickets for.
Venue and Front of House staff reserve the right to admit latecomers only if there is a suitable moment in the performance. Management reserves the right to refuse admission; this policy is to prevent disruption to other patrons and the performance. This policy also applies to scheduled events on Digital Fringe. Arriving later than the advertised start time may result in you missing the start of the session and replays will not be available. Refunds will not be permitted in this circumstance. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to ensure your technical set-up is working and to allow time to ask for assistance if required.
Melbourne Fringe issues tickets in accordance with the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice, including the most recent COVID Safe guidelines. For a copy of the LPA Ticketing Code for consumers please click here.
If you are unsure if a payment has gone through, please contact Melbourne Fringe Ticketing on boxoffice@melbournefringe.com.au or call (03) 9660 9666 before attempting to pay again. Melbourne Fringe accepts ONLY Visa and Mastercard for online, phone and in-person sales.
Tickets may not, without prior written consent from Melbourne Fringe, be resold at a premium, offered as a prize or used for advertising or other promotional use. A ticket purchased from a reseller does not guarantee you entry to the event.
By attending an event at Melbourne Fringe Festival you agree that you and anyone in your party meets the minimum age requirements set out in the published classification. If Melbourne Fringe has any grounds to believe you do not meet these legal requirements, we reserve the right to refuse admittance to a Festival event.
Content warnings and event classifications are listed on each event’s listing and have been provided by the event’s producer. Melbourne Fringe events are conducted in accordance with the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 restrictions. All attendees must comply with any COVID-19 safety protocols as directed by the venue, artist, or the Victorian Government.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are required to isolate according to Victorian Government directions, you must not attend the Festival. Please contact boxoffice@melbournefringe.com.au prior to the event, with at least 24 hours’ notice to arrange a remedy. Melbourne Fringe reserves the right to request proof of a positive result when a refund is requested.
A remedy will not be offered due to fear of exposure of COVID-19 or if you contact Melbourne Fringe after the event has passed. If one person in a party has contracted COVID-19, a remedy may not be offered to the remaining group members. No remedy will be offered if you are refused entry to a venue for not adhering to the COVID-19 safety requirements.
If events are cancelled for reasons relating to COVID-19, including if artists cancel a performance due to illness, a remedy will be offered to all ticket holders of any performances effected.
Remedies include exchanges to another performance of the same event (subject to availability), gifting the cost of the tickets to the artist, or receiving a refund for the ticket cost. Refunds may take up to 28 days to process.
