Spoon Fools

3 comedians. In the style of Mr. Bean but UNHINGED, sometimes raunchy, and always fun.

A wide-angle image of 4 caucasian people, standing side-to-side in a vibrant pink background. They are dressed in different outfit, donning different hats and wearing dramatic facial expressions, while staring straight at the image source.
The image is a portrait of two women sitting on the floor against a black background. The women on the left is caucasian, wearing a long blonde wig, a leopard print coat, and is laughing with her eyes closed and head tilted back. The woman on the right is caucasian, wearing a yellow short-sleeved shirt, a pink bob wig, and is making a comically terrified expression towards the camera.

About the artists:
We all met this year through workshops with Clare Bartholomew (Otto & Astrid), Garry Starr and Giovanni Fusetti. Our little collective of “Spoon Fools” has been a supportive way for us to create solo clown work 'alone together'. Come see what we’ve made for you- this is only the beginning!

Michele Owen (USA/AUS): “Sold Out Award”- Rogue Fest California. Trained with clown masters from Dell’Arte International, San Francisco Clown Conservatory, among others.

Mateusz Dawidowski (NZ/PL): Finding solace in clown and bouffon work, Mateusz’s Ogórki Kiszone character was born out of workshops with his teacher Giovanni Fusetti with support from Kimberley Twiner.

Roxie Halley (AUS): Following her debut solo comedy 'Good Girl' at MICF, Roxie is known for “her acting talent and storytelling” (Funny Tonne). *WED & THURS ONLY

Katy Burrows (AUS): Has directed and performed across France, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. Teacher of circus and physical theatre at Melbourne’s Women’s Circus. *FRI, SAT & SUN ONLY

NOTE: some audience participation will be invited but we believe consent is #1. No one will be peer pressured to get on stage!
