'i know the end.' is a queer coming-of-age story, encapsulating connection and intimacy through the lens of those that are raised alien to it. In this intimate, immersive dance theatre work, dancers Caroline De Wan and Fern Mines guide audiences through a mercurial world, discovering unknown entities and piecing together figments of a lost relationship. Choreographed and composed by Alix Kuijpers and featuring an SA-based emerging cast, this visceral and incandescent Australian debut will become his first major work since receiving First Class Honours in Dance for his work IMMATERIAL. 'i know the end.' has been supported in development by Australian Dance Theatre, The Tanja Liedtke Foundation, Carclew and Dance Hub SA.

'i know the end' is the winner of the 2023 Adelaide Fringe Emerging Artist Award.
'i know the end' also received a weekly best dance award for the 2023 Adelaide Fringe.

Alix Kuijpers is an emerging freelance choreographer and sound designer whose queer based work has garnered a strong reputation for creating contemporary dance in South Australia. Training at Adelaide College of the Arts, Kuijpers’ notable achievements include becoming the first dance honours student at a South Australian institution, receiving first-class honours for his work IMMATERIAL and being awarded the Emerging Artist Award for Adelaide Fringe 2023. Alix returns from recent research and development in the USA and Europe participating in major dance festivals such as B12 and Orsolina 28, and working with practitioners such as Jacob Jonas The Company and Thar Be Dragons. Alix has also spent his time at Carclew as their Sharehouse Resident for 2023 where he generated the Groundskeeping open class series, presented the double bill “At A Mansion In The Dark” with Fern Mines and made the SALA art film SKIN with Fern Mines, Caroline De Wan, Leif Currie and the 2023 ACArts 3rd Years.
