Scout Boxall - God's Favourite

The latest offering from Fringe's cult comedy icon.

  • Performed by: Scout Boxall

  • Presented by: Junkyard Artists

Please note: This show is a work in progress. Much like its performer, it will be rough around the edges.

After getting stranded in regional Victoria without medication for the first time in twelve years, Scout Boxall has to pull out all the psychological stops to survive one of the worst nights of their life. In the process, they imagine life in the 13th century, trawl the strangest crevices of the Internet and (briefly) find God.

God's Favourite is a theatrical, forensic retelling of a harrowing mental marathon through manic withdrawal. There will also be jokes, but since this is a work in progress, please lower your expectations accordingly.

Winner of Best Comedy (Adelaide Fringe '23), the Moosehead Award (MICF '22), Best Newcomer nominee (MICF '21), Best Emerging Artist (Melbourne Fringe '19), Scout has appeared on The Gala, ABC's The Weekly With Charlie Pickering, Comedy Up Late, Comedy Roadshow, Mardi Gras Laugh Out Proud and Splendour In The Grass. Their work swings between pithy observational stand up and manic powerpoint comedy with a sharp political awareness.
