Pam Wood is an emotional rollercoaster in a merry-go-round world. She’s a 67 year-old red-cordial-level extrovert, with a bunch of complex mental health diagnoses and death-defying resilience.

Pam has never performed before. But now she must. It turns out her audaciously unorthodox life has been one, giant creative development towards this defining moment in which she will finally find her voice. On stage. In front of a live audience.

Dys-Order-Ed is an autobiographical solo show about owning who you are with guts and grace. It is about speaking up and reclaiming your trauma, no matter your age or brain range. It is, like Pam, a micro rebellion in a world that misunderstands difference. Exploring themes of sexual abuse, suicide, ageism, medical mayhem, and late-blooming sexuality, Dys-Order-Ed is a disruptor on multiple fronts, daring us to challenge our personal and societal beliefs around what it means to be dis/ordered. And not wait till it’s too late to do so.

In this deconstructed theatre experiment, pretty much anything could happen. Think tear-soaked comedy confessional, neurospicy narratives and spiritual enlightenment with a strong dose of choose-your-own-adventure. Pam will share the raw and real of her most tumultuous life events, plus those unbelievable moments that leave you feeling utterly grateful to be alive. She is a fierce force for love that will get your heart beating (and racing!)
