Following sell-out seasons in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne 2023, K Mak returns to the Melbourne Fringe.

Weaving cello, violin, synths, beats and vocals into lush, cinematic soundscapes, her four piece band ushers you through the cosmos with sumptuous tailored visuals.

About K Mak

K MAK is the originals project of Australian cellist Kathryn McKee - a distillation of classical, alternative and electro-pop music.

She draws on her experience playing with Kanye West, Eminem, Archie Roach, Guy Sebastian, Vera Blue and Opera Queensland to weave strings, beats, synths and vocals into vivid, emotive artpop.

Her works have been nominated for a Q Song Award, the International Songwriting Competition and an Independent Music Award, and have been played on community radio stations world wide, ABC Classic fm and on KEXP.

K Mak has played Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Woodford, and has featured at a Tedx Youth Forum. She’s recently sold out the Melbourne, Adelaide and Anywhere Fringe festivals with her visually-curated performances in the planetarium.

She has somehow also featured in the latest Supercheap auto ad, in Baz Lurhmann’s ‘Elvis’, and in Dubai fashion magazine ‘Mojeh’.
