About QiQi Music and Darby Lee

QiQi and Darby invites you to explore new horizons, pushing the boundaries of tradition to create a musical experience that is as dynamic as it is unforgettable.

QiQi is classically trained, a versatile multi-instrumentalist with a background in jazz, blends traditional Guzheng melodies with modern flair and diverse cultural influences, infusing each composition with a fresh, vibrant energy.

QiQi has performed extensively as a soloist as well as collaboratively with lion and dragon troupes, traditional chinese dance groups, bands and orchestras at many venues throughout Victoria. Instagram: @qiqimusic_

Highly awarded, Melbourne-based pianist and composer Darby Lee has been classically trained in piano since 2004. Since 2018 has branched out to other styles and embraced composition, transcription and arranging, hoping to push harmonic and stylistic boundaries, and conducting research into microtonality.
