With a line-up of steamy performances, DJs and a very sexy dress-up competition, this is an invitation to come dressed in your hottest partygoer threads for this very fun fuelled Alter State finale event.

Co-hosted by Australia’s Deaf Drag Queen Darling Mademoiselle Coco, alongside Disabled and Sexy curator and Alter State's very own Creative Lead, Jodee Mundy. Disabled and Sexy is a night of fun, kinky and seductive acts by outrageously hilarious comedian Thomas Banks, fierce and proud Wiradjuri/Gamilaroi trans performer Kitty Obsidian, Goddess and futurist pop musician Naavikaran, our sideshow star Sarah Birdgirl, Deaf Queer Queens Sam Martin and Nathan Borg.

Get ready to dance to party-starter DJs KIN and Aquenta, and if you’re in the mood to dress-up to theme, enter the hot and spicy competition our MCs will be serving up on the night. Categories and details of how to opt in soon to be announced.

Got your ticket and wondering what to wear?
For a little bit of inspo, MCs Mademoiselle Coco and Jodee Mundy have come up with four dress-up categories that might inspire your party outfits. Maybe you’re feeling a little tactile, or want to put your most sassiest outfit on. Or perhaps you’d rather blend into the crowd.

Categories are:
Best textured – you’re the most tactile person in the room, you’re irresistible to touch
Armour against ableism – you’re a hero of community, nothing’s going to get you down
Sexy Disabled Pride – you’re the epitome of sass and so hot you’ve got your own #hashtag
Ally – you know it’s not about you, but you always show up

Arts House foyer and quiet space will be taken over by surprise guest artist, and the upstairs Terrace and Studios will be open as a place to chill out and catch your breath.

This is a party for everyone, with an invitation for allies to come and experience the brilliance of the Deaf and Disabled community at the heart of Naarm.

Please note this is an 18+ event. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Relaxed space - Audience members are welcome to come and go as they please, be themselves, make noise, stim and respond to the work for the duration of the event.

Please note: Entry will be via George Johnston Lane. The main party room is accessible by lift and stairs.

Quiet Space
Arts House has a dedicated Quiet Space located on Ground Level near reception and opposite the accessible bathroom. It is suitable as a chill out space, prayer or parenting space and features a range of seating options, dimmable lights, sensory and stimming objects. Anyone is welcome to access the Quiet Space during venue operating hours and events.

Getting to Arts House - Tram
Route 57 (high floor trams only) Stop 12, North Melbourne Town Hall.
Please note, this is not a wheelchair accessible tram

Walk
Arts House is 2.5km from Flinders Street Station, approximately 35 minute walk and 850m from Queen Victoria Markets, approximately 11 minute walk

Train
Arts House is 1.1km from North Melbourne Train Station, approximately 16 minute walk or 1.2km from Flagstaff Station, approximately 15 minute walk

Car
There is limited paid on-street parking on Queensberry and Errol Streets. There are two accessible on-street car parking spaces on Queensberry Street (150m to our accessible Errol Street entrance) for holders of a Parking Permit for people with Disabilities.
