Welcome to the Jungle "Dancehall Bashment" gives audience members a window of opportunity to astral travel from the concrete Jungles of Melbourne to the vibrant and other dimensional street parties of Jamaica.

From the Selector's journeying through decades of Dancehall, to the current up-to-di time bangers, to the dancers bringing the fire to the dance floor as they move in unity to the music and flex their skillz in the dance circle, to the fashionista's posing in the most extraordinary outfits imaginable, sipping their spiced rum, and ready like freddy for the camera light whenever it appears.

Where everyone who steps into the Dance Hall space IS THE DANCEHALL! Whether you are one of the DJ's, professional dancers, or an audience member - everyone present in the Dancehall bashment party is collectively a part of 'creating the vibe'.

This party is an opportunity for Melbournians to experience all the flavors, fashion, fancy foot work and fire that is created each and every night in the street parties of Kingston, for one special night only brought to you by Jungle City projects, as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
