In delicate meditation on the passage of time, the frailty of life, and that which anchors each of us as we sail along the murky and tumultuous waters of experience.

Victory Lap invites you to sit by the ocean and listen to the waves; reflecting on the people you thought you’d become, those you have lost and those you have loved.

Through an abstract approach to storytelling, follow Billy as they reflect on their disjointed life's journey. Navigating their twenties, experiencing and understanding grief in its various forms, and attempting to stay grounded and connected.

A semi-autobiographical one-person show, written and directed by Mashaka Gunnulson (they/them), Victory Lap explores themes of mental health, suicide, grief, and the growing pains of early adulthood.

Sometimes you lose them.

Sometimes you lose them all at once.

Sometimes, from a great distance.

Sometimes you don’t even realise you’ve lost them until you turn around to look and all that is left is you.

Sometimes, try as you might to hold on, the rope snags and splits and goes limp in your hands, and you lose them anyway.
