Lost boys, Sam and Boggins, meet in a barren desert and build a towering fantasy machine from the scraps that life has thrown them. As an audience member, prepare to be enveloped in the structure as Sam and Boggins build around you. This coming of age tale explores young male mental health, addiction and escapism.

On the boys’ journey, they are led by the Desert Bard. A lone-ranger vulture, with the Stetson of a cowboy and the mask of a plague doctor. The Desert Bard performs a live score throughout the show, singing a tale of black humour and watching over the boys as they build their world of steam-punk nightmares and wide-open dreams.

This project received Cash for Equity through the Fringe Fund, as part of the Ralph Mclean Microgrants program.

About Hot Heads

Hot Heads are a touring theatre company from the UK, founded on two principles: our work is visual and interactive.
Hot Heads are an entirely queer, neurodiverse team. We believe our work flourishes because of these traits, not in spite of them.
