The story follows a single, late 20’s woman over the course of an evening in her apartment. She has discovered her best friend is dating her ex boyfriend, her world is falling apart and she comes home to find the corpse of an old man under her bed. Together the duo muse over questions like why is romantic love the best thing to happen to a person? And why is it considered more important than friendships? Why are old widowed women iconic yet old widowed men so sad? Does your biological clock make the decisions for you past the age of 25? And is "the ick" a government conspiracy to make dating easier for men?

Written and performed by El Kiley (As You Like it, The Marvelous Life of Carlo Gatti) and directed by Lucy Payne (Indigenous Trilogy, Exiles), 'Me and the Dead Old Guy' delves into the ‘20- something’ experience and brings to the surfaces the things we can never seem to say.
