Straight off the success of its premiere at the 2024 Midsumma Festival, HufflePoof is back ready to spellbind you at the 2024 Melbourne Fringe Festival! Starring Dirk Strachan-Thornton as Oliver Scamander.
Set during the 4th year of that well known wizarding series, HufflePoof tells the story from a different point of view. Oliver Scamander is romantically obsessed with Cedric Diggory and when he is selected as a Triwizard Champion, he plans to help Cedric win the competition in the hope of winning his love as well.
But when Oliver finds out that Cedric has been using him to win the competition, Oliver gives him misleading information to the final challenge, resulting in disaster...
With magical 360 degree staging that places you in the middle of the action, you will move around Hogwarts without ever leaving your seat!
Moments of the story are taken on a musical theatre kick with songs from Wicked, Witches of Eastwick and Mean Girls.
While this production is set in a familiar setting, this work is not affiliated with JK Rowling, The Wizarding World or Warner Bros and no financial profits go to any of these parties. The creators do not support JK Rowling or her views and this is a parody of the work and contains LGBTQI+ themes.

"HufflePoof is certain to charm and leave a lasting impression on its audience. The distinctive fusion of recognisable Harry Potter elements, exceptional vocal display, surprising magical moments and a generous sprinkle of humour converge to create a theatrical journey that will never be forgotten, a celebration of art, inclusivity and the enchanting power of a well-crafted performance" ★★★★★ - Dance World Magazine
