'Someone told me that orchids rebloom every eight to twelve months. I water the plant, wipe the leaves clean of gathered dust and wait.'

Written and performed by Olive Weeks, House With A Sunken Garden is an exploration of the importance of creating a nurturing space for our thoughts, bodies and hearts to exist in. Olive takes you through a journey of rediscovering themselves and finding refuge amongst confusion and pain. Through profound soliloquies and meditative poems accompanied by a moving original score, you'll be invited to step into the House With A Sunken Garden and find quiet joy in your own lives.

House With A Sunken Garden was presented by emerging theatre company Ephemera Theatre as its inaugural production in 2023. After developing the show and breathing new life into it, it is now being presented for Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024.

This project received Cash for Equity through the Fringe Fund, as part of the Ralph Mclean Microgrants program
