What if you could choose to stay young... forever? From the Green Room Award-winning musical mind behind ‘Cabaret Unscripted’ comes Forever 41, a solo musical odyssey blending humour, heart, and a little bit of hubris. Greg Lavell invites you join him as he time-travels from the near future to centuries ahead, all set to a captivating and evolving live musical score.

Witness humanity grapple with the gift (or curse) of eternal youth as Greg explores love, purpose, and unexpected consequences of immortality through clever songs and creative character monologues. How do relationships evolve when "till death do us part" becomes an eternity? What happens to ambition when time is infinite? Greg explores these big questions along with a time-bending piano and synth soundtrack performed live. A show that will stick with you long after you leave, pondering your own place in time, and just maybe... wishing you too could stay Forever 41.

About Greg Lavell

Greg Lavell is a Melbourne-based theatre director, writer, composer, and performer. His acclaimed show, "Cabaret Unscripted," earned him a prestigious Green Room Award for Outstanding Musical Direction in 2024. He is Artistic Director of Improv Company ‘Melbourne Unscripted’. Greg also works as an arranger, composer, and accompanist for cabaret and musical theatre works. He wrote and composed his first musical "Kiss" in 2020.

    Wheelchair Access

    Festival Hub: Trades Hall - Archive Room is wheelchair accessible. The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock. If you need step-free access, head to the driveway located on the left-hand side of the main entrance on Lygon Street. The driveway will lead you into the courtyard. From the courtyard, continue straight through the loading dock and into the Victoria Street Building, where the Archive Room will be on your left.   Volunteers will be available along the route to assist you if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for help
