‘Casual Receptionist of the Quarter’ is a one-woman comedy, offering behind-the-scenes insights into the front-of-house customer service experience at a commercial gym.

Between breaking up sexual activity in the steam room and reminding people it’s maybe not a great idea to wear Ugg boots on the treadmill, this chronic people-pleasing approval-seeking receptionist does the best she can to tolerate the entitled whinging and elevated testosterone, all while hoping you have a good day :)

Alongside her career in the arts, Nicole has worked at the front desk of a commercial gym for the past 10 years, so she’s seen some sh*t... and then mopped up the remnants with a freshly rolled towel.

Whether you’ve been stuck on a spin bike next to some potent BO, have slogged away in the utterly liberating world of customer service, are blessed with the reality of living on minimum wage in 2024, or are a woman simply existing in a typically male-dominated industry, this high-intensity-interval character-driven comedy will be sure to leave you reaching for the defib.

The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock.If you need step-free access, head to the driveway located on the left-hand side of the main entrance on Lygon Street. The driveway will lead you into the courtyard. From the courtyard, continue straight through the loading dock and into the Victoria Street Building, where the meeting Room will be on your left. Volunteers will be available along the route to assist you if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for help
