Concrete Boots Bar

If you’re happy, we’re happy. It’s pretty simple.

We are Concrete Boots – your friendly neighbourhood bar – where local legends have their faithful bentwood stool and newcomers are treated to twelve rotating taps, a tight cocktail list and some of the best bloody (and not so bloody) bar food in Melbourne. We’re also proudly known as one of the most popular function venues in Richmond.

Our food menu proudly satisfies both ravenous vegans and protein-pounders alike. Our draught offerings – fit for lager drinkers and crafty connoisseurs, while our wine list is lovingly local.

Making home on the former site of Dizzy’s Jazz Club, owner/operator Andrew Reed (Barnone, Kettle Black, Speakeasy), has extracted the bebop and injected the hip-hop, giving the Burnley side of Richmond something more than parmas, punting and shitty traffic.
“It all came about because I basically wanted to do what I liked and what my mates liked. The kinda stuff that makes myself and my mates happy.”

Comfortably catering for 150 stand up and 100 sit down with full AV setup, DJ gear and projector.

With a namesake inspired by Melbourne’s turn-of-the-century gangster past (the adjacent old bank even bearing bygone-era bullet holes), Concrete Boots serves up what’s quality and what’s local. Curated and thoughtful, the food and beverage offerings are Victorian focused – from the Healesville gins, to the Peninsular wines, to the Gippsland beef.

So, come by – get your lips around an Australian Negroni, your ears around some Tribe Called Quest and your arse around a comfy seat.

Can you kick it? Yes, you can.
