A selection of Melbourne’s most beloved drag and cabaret artists give us a glimpse into the souls beneath the sequins.

From 2015 to 2018, Seen & Heard Cabaret provided a platform for some of Melbourne's (and the world's) Fringe variety darlings to share intimate stories of their lives alongside the acts they were renowned for. Its kaleidoscopic line-up featured performers who could seamlessly switch from razzle to dazzle to radical vulnerability. The show toured to Edinburgh, Adelaide and Perth Fringes, and won Melbourne Fringe's Best Cabaret award in 2017.

Six years, many major life experiences, and a changed world later, a handful of the original performers have felt a strong call to revisit Seen & Heard. They’re also inviting a few new friends to share a glimpse of themselves beneath the glitter and greasepaint.

    Wheelchair Access

    Festival Hub: Trades Hall - Quilt Room is wheelchair accessible. The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock.If you need step-free access, head to the driveway located on the left-hand side of the main entrance on Lygon Street. The driveway will lead you into the courtyard. From the courtyard, there will be a lift on your right. Head to the first floor and turn left. Continue down the corridor, past Solidarity Hall and through the doors into the Victoria street building, the Quilt room is on the left. Volunteers will be available along the route to assist you if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for help
