'PUNCH!' draws heavily on the theatrical style of Bouffon - a style of performance with mockery at the heart. Specifically mockery from the perspective of those on the fringes, commenting on and critiquing society at large.
Brought to you by Frankston based artists the Wild Ensemble, 'PUNCH!' is a playful and provocative devised theatre work exploring themes of power, social complexities and the strive for independence. The work is co-devised and performed by performers and live musicians from BAM Arts Inc. collective – a group of artists, who have worked together since 2017.
