Impromptunes takes its musical mayhem into overdrive in this risqué, rambunctious ride. Strap in (or on!) while Australia's finest improvisers hit the high notes and the low brows. The cast of Impromptunes will go to any length so that 'the show must go on'.

With impossible hoops to jump through, any cast member can be cancelled at any moment. A raw orchestral score of raunchy choruses by a raucous caucus.

About Impromptunes

Formed in 2013, Impromptunes is Australia's premier improvised musical comedy troupe. They have performed over 400 live improvised musicals across Australia in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and internationally at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A regular sell out with critical acclaim, Impromptunes has become a festival staple, audiences can come back again and again as no two shows are the same!

The improv musical fun continues all year round, with the weekly release of Impromptunes: The Podcast, which has twice been nominated for Best-Comedy Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards (2020, 2022). The team also presents a live show on the first Friday of every month at their new home of the beautiful Alex Theatre in St Kilda.

    Festival Hub: Trades Hall - Meeting Room is wheelchair accessible. The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock.If you need step-free access, head to the driveway located on the left-hand side of the main entrance on Lygon Street. The driveway will lead you into the courtyard. From the courtyard, continue straight through the loading dock and into the Victoria Street Building, where the meeting Room will be on your left. Volunteers will be available along the route to assist you if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for help
