Prune has been in the bath for a while now, but who cares? She likes it there. She likes it so much that she never wants to get out. And you know what, sweetie? Maybe she never will.

Sure, her adult children are tearing their hair out in clumps. And yes, her doting boyfriend is crying secretly in the cupboard, but the water temperature is a balmy 38 degrees and her mind is crisp and clear. This frog ain’t getting out of the pond!

Isabelle Carney (“Funny, intelligent and absurd all at the same time.” - Weekend Notes) and Pat Mooney (MIFF 2021, 2022) direct ‘Prune’, a 50-minute comedic play that wrestles with slippery questions like: What do you do if someone never wants to get out of the tub? Do you drag them out by their feet or keep topping ‘em up with warm water? Where have all the iPads gone? Don’t tell me they’re in there! Oh, yep. Looks like they are.

Starring Hannah Camilleri (Nominee Most Outstanding Show MICF 2023), Oliver Coleman (Nominee Most Outstanding Show MICF 2024), Jason Geary (Thank God You’re Here) and Jennifer Vuletic (Wentworth), 'Prune' soaks for 5 nights only, so jump in while the water's warm.
