Fringe Focus Taiwan

Melbourne Fringe and the Ministry of Culture, Republic of China (Taiwan) present Fringe Focus Taiwan – an exciting digital program of world-class art and performance direct from Taiwan. This new international collaboration is a coming-together across borders, in a time where social distancing, travel bans and lockdowns keep us further apart than ever.

The Fringe Focus Taiwan program invites you to take up this unique opportunity to explore art from around the world, right from your living room.

Something About Skin (12-13 November) is a bold new work by dancers Lee Tsung-Hsuan and Chang Chien-Hao, streamed through a camera on a robotic vacuum. Register here.

Be prepared to question what’s possible and what’s real in Transhumanism: A Fair (19-21 November) – a mind-expanding show featuring conversation, illusion, body manipulation and hypnosis. Register here.

Join artists from Taiwan and SouthEast Asia for a virtual drink date at Is(o)Land Bar: Cloud (25-28 November). Register as a Guest and enjoy an intimate conversation with an artist; or enter the bar as a Voyeur and simply soak up the atmosphere.

Want to know more about the program and see how this international collaboration has come to life? Join us for a Panel Discussion with participating artists from Taiwan, hosted by Creative Director Simon Abrahams, on Friday 13 November. Register here.

All events are FREE but with bookings required. Each event has limited sessions, so book now before you miss out.
