Got a new performance project in need of some space for development? We’re opening up our doors for Spare Rooms! A program of Melbourne Fringe, Spare Rooms offers 2-3 weeks of free space to artists and companies at our venue, Fringe Common Rooms.
Artists will receive access to the Annexe at Trades Hall between 10am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, as well as use of the PA system. Selected projects will be offered up to three consecutive weeks of development and would work in one intensive over the season.
The Annexe is an intimate saloon-style space that holds up to 70 people and is ideal for workshops and rehearsals. The room is carpeted (not suitable for dance and ensemble work of scale) so please keep this in mind when applying!
Please note: The Annexe space will only be available subject to current COVID-19 government restrictions. We will be in contact with successful applicants to arrange residencies when the venue re-opens.
