Melbourne Fringe Festival 2020 – Art of the Impossible

2020 has truly been the impossible year. Making art, putting on a festival, bringing our city together? Impossible. But here we are. This isn’t the festival we had planned at the start of the year and we’re pretty excited to have created something entirely new for you to explore. Turns out, anything’s possible.

This is a festival with art online, in your home, on the streets of Melbourne, delivered to your letterbox, in a bath, via a call to a hotline, in the rain, in a virtual gallery with 3D furniture and more. Melbourne Fringe Festival 2020 is a celebration of the tenacity and spirit of artists, of our community’s need for connection and creativity, and of Melbourne’s extraordinary resilience. Get ready for 18 days of non-stop art with 250+ events that turns an impossible situation on its head.

Melbourne Fringe Festival 2020 is what happens when you confront the impossible.
