"Writhe to Air" is a unique fictionalised horror radio play that draws inspiration from Melbourne's history and honours the golden era of radio.

Our story takes place in the 1940s and follows Ronnie, a nondescript and disgruntled radio station broadcaster who longs for a better time slot. Determined to be noticed by the station manager, Ronnie devises a plan involving a mysterious antique waxwork figurine.

A kitschy and captivating one-off special, "Writhe to Air" will be performed live to an audience featuring a host of community presenters in the Triple R Performance space in Brunswick East. It will be simultaneously broadcast on the airwaves on 102.7fm, RRR Digital, rrr.org.au and apps. Join us in person for an authentic slice of old-time nostalgia and retro fun, or tune in live from the comfort of your home!
