James Howard (Jaadwa) is a Melbourne-based musician, whose practice approaches connection to land through sound. Howard's project unpacks these relationships with place through the merging of field recordings with live contemporary instrumentation.
James Howard Project consists of an ongoing development to allow the musician to collaborate with their environment via the means of sound technology and improvised performance.
James is currently studying his Masters of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Music and the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts & Cultural Development.
