An oil pastel artwork using purples, greens and yellows to depict a man with a large head and hands waving at a tram. There are two trams on the canvas, one has someone waving back and another filled with hands. There is a tram road sign in the top right hand corner.
An acrylic painting split into two halves. The left half has a pink background and depicts a hook turn road sign, a red shining traffic light, a safety cone, the back of a green car driving and a pigeon. The right half has a blue background and depicts a man with an oversized head and hands, in a yellow hoodie and green pants holding a takeaway coffee with an umbrella. There is a tram in the centre separating the two halves.
A paint stick painting on a dark blue background depicting a man's portrait. He is looking rather apathetic, and has blonde hair and is wearing a light blue shirt. In the background are some bottlebrush plants and a eastern spinebill bird.

Art that puts everyday life into perspective. Narrative works about people, their environments and how they interact. Ordinary occurrences can have extraordinary impacts on who we are.

About Kimbaross

Born and raised on a farm in north eastern Victoria and moved to Melbourne for an education of sorts. I am a visual artist who primarily paints and draws. Mild mannered public servant most days, volunteer fighter and army reservist on others.
I am fascinated by people and places and how they interact with each other. My works celebrate the everyday mundane.
The things that we do, the interactions or connections we have every day. Taken for granted and given little thought, these events have a cumulative affect on our very being. Sometimes they harden us but more often over time they hopefully soften us.
My art gives thanks to all the fortunate things in my life, sometimes sweet sorrow or bittersweet joy but never melancholy or regret.
Very much trying my best to give back to my community for years it has consistently and quietly nurtured me. Hopefully my art is an extension of this and gives others comfort, it does for me.
