Synopsis

Take a walk around the inner-city streets of Melbourne and discover Sfetkidis’ hand drawn posters, celebrating contemporary intersectional feminism and social justice movements.

Inspired by political posters of the Women’s movement, these works reimagine commercial space as a site for political discussion - bringing to life the feminist manifesto “Feminism for the 99%” by Cinzia Arruzza, Tithi Bhattacharya and Nancy Fraser.

In the era of #metoo and #blacklivesmatter, The Feminist Poster Project captures the spirit of change and social justice that has inspired the contemporary imagination.
