The year is 1984. Well, it's not. The year is actually 2019. But at one point in time, for about a year, the year was 1984. And in 1984, Alan Chipperfield, a neurotic man from East London needs to pay his electric bill by the end of the day. The bill is well overdue, and Eastern Electric has threatened to cut his power if he does not comply. The thought of leaving his flat to pay the bill, however, is quite the excruciating prospect. And so, his friends Simon and Roxanne arrive to rouse him into action, and out of the flat. The stakes are high, as Alan stares down the barrel of a life engulfed by darkness, without light, without hope, unable to see where he is going. And that's if the power doesn't go out.
So come and observe these three young specimens as they cause more problems than they solve, raise more questions than they answer, achieve no personal growth, learn absolutely nothing and end up right back where they started. So why not come to find out how it starts? And how it ends? And stay for the bit in the middle? Please?
