The full season of Sluts Like Us has been cancelled, we apologise for any inconvenience.
Porn is filled with video’s catering to every man’s sexual fantasy, something which filters into our sex lives on a daily basis. What are the non cis-male perspectives? Aren't they just as important? We are surrounded by sex-positive women, non-binary and trans-gendered people who are judged by society for non-conforming values around sex and relationships.
SLUTS LIKE US highlights the contrast between the sexually liberated and those who live in fear, hiding their fantasies and desires from the world, or even their partners. We aim to showcase those who love fearlessly, to help those longing to do so. Sharing raw, authentic sexual experiences, whilst exploring different forms of 'modern' relationships.
We aim not to force any opinions upon anyone, but to create a safe, sensory rich environment, where stories can be heard, seen and felt, because they are honest and true expressions of sexuality today.
This event is a collision of dance, performance, design and audio-visual content, inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community. Created by Choreographer Dani Weaver (1993, NZ) and Scenographer Brenda van Geffen (1988, NL).
