Ready to get out, get moving and create some truly spectacular (and 100% COVID-Safe) art in the process?! From the extraordinary mind of choreographer Stephanie Lake, who brought you Colossus as part of Take Over 2018, we are creating a brand new mass contemporary dance event and we need you, amateur movers and shakers of Melbourne to bring it to life!
If you’ve been dancing on your own the last few months and want to crank it up a notch, this is your chance to take part amongst hundreds of physically distanced participants to help create a celebratory performance where anyone can take part. Learn the moves on the day, spaced two metres apart (fear not, we have a full COVID-Safe plan in action) and shake off the shackles of isolation with this epic ode to community. Plus, you’ll be immortalised forever in a stunning Fringe film.
No dance experience necessary!
This event is a participatory work. There will be no audience on site. If you want to see Multiply as it comes to life, click here and we’ll follow up with further details!
Multiply is supported by City of Stonnington, Australia Council for the Arts, Daniel Besen, the Canny Quine Foundation, Linda Herd and James McCaughey.
Warning: Contains high level of audience participation
