When making work for children of any age, our goal is to make the central concept as robust as possible. How do we do that? Why does it matter? What does it mean? In this day workshop we will explore your driving idea, your dream to make change or your beautiful pearl of a design as a theatre maker and see how that works for an audience of children. We’ll test concepts from multiple angles – what makes it strong, how quickly does it fall apart, how differently can you explore your idea? We’ll talk about form and audience relationship. We’ll play and test things out on the floor. This will be a hands on, collaborative workshop where ideas are engaged with by all participants. Bring: * your passionate idea * a willingness to be open and constructive * a willingness to engage with rigour * a willingness to be playful, flexible and collaborative We will be working physically and be working with children as collaborators. Placement in this workshop is by an expression of interest process, which you can find here.
