K Mak weaves cello, synths, beats and vocals into lush, cinematic soundscapes. A distillation of classical, alternative and electro-pop music ushers you through the cosmos. The planetarium’s unique setting features 16m domed ceilings, reclining seats, a 7.1 surround sound system and full-dome video projection. Expect to leave your body.

About K Mak

K Mak is the originals project of Australian cellist Kathryn McKee. Weaving strings, beats, synths and vocals, K Mak creates vivid, emotive soundscapes. She draws on her experience playing with Kanye West, Eminem, Archie Roach, Guy Sebastian, Vera Blue and Opera Queensland to create compelling art pop.

K Mak has been nominated for a Q Song Award, the International Songwriting Competition and an Independent Music Award, and has been played on community radio stations world-wide including KEXP, ABC local radio and on ABC Classic fm. She's played Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Woodford and has featured at a Tedx Youth Forum.
