The weird, wonderful and whimsical creations by Jang Huddle. We welcome you to the realm of contemporary dance and sonic storytelling from Aotearoa, New Zealand.

'Irago - 이라고 - Said So' is an experimental show that plays with incomplete phrases, half-finished thoughts within a world of feeling...

This work explores the tension between the longing for community and the drive to exist and thrive as an individual. Through a fusion of live field recordings, original scoring, improvisational movement and interactive elements,

Movement - Jang Huddle (Cindy Yunha Jang-Barlow) Live Music - Goodspace (Jefferson Chen), Rewind Fields (Callum Lee) and Visual Artworks - (Xixi Xian).

We invite the audience to weave their own stories into ours and share this experience through movement, music and recollection.

This project received support from the Fringe Fund's Cash for Equity stream, as part of the Ralph Mclean Microgrants program.

Contemporary community dance workshop on Thursday, 12 October at 2:30pm:
All ages and dance abilities are welcome to our open community contemporary dance workshop.
We'll do some stretching and learn a short dance phrase from our show 'Irago - 이라고 - Said So'. Bring a friend or family member and get moving with the Jang Huddle team! The workshop will be run by Cindy Yunha Jang-Barlow, who has been facilitating community dance spaces for over seven years.
