About Jess Coldrey

Born in Melbourne (Naarm), Jess Coldrey is a multi-disciplinary artist exploring the intersection of technology, nature, and human experiences. With a background in arts and engineering, Coldrey's artistic process is both methodical and intuitive. She creates thought-provoking works through a combination of techniques, including drawing, textiles, 3D printing, robotics, and photography. Her playful approach to art-making shapes surreal and expressive pieces, exposing the powerful emotions of everyday life and the depth of meaning that can be found in mundane objects and scenes.

Coldrey seeks to create safe spaces for discussion and encourages empathy through her exhibitions. As an advisor for QENDO, she is also dedicated to being a leader in the endometriosis community. Her work has been recognised in exhibitions globally, including the Tate Britain in London, the United Nations COP26 Conference in Glasgow, an artist residency in France, and winning the Australian Agendo Art Prize.
