From follies and faux pas into delusion, denial and final redemption, we are transported to the vibrant Cabaret era of 1930's Paris. As we follow a young woman’s search for love, discover the difference between a Peignoir and a Pinot Noir, become tres, tres chic, and yes, there'll be lots and lots of French.... words!

Through the lost songs of the 1930s' great Parisian Cabaret divas; icons Piaf, Marlene Dietrich, Eartha Kitt, and composers Weill, Satie and Poulenc, even Anna Russell, we evoke the unique visual and musical intensity of 1930's from wicked, dark humour to raw, unfettered anguish.

In this new cabaret “Illusions - a French Cabaret’, a one woman show written and performed by Chanteuse, Anne Millar, with David Wickham on piano and Matt Reuben James Ward directing, moves through the pain of self-delusion, out of the dark and into mastery of self, life and love.
