What happens when Annie the Orphan, a cannibal (non-derogatory) and the entire Sandringham under 25’s netball team walk into a bar?

This year, Green Room award-winning Mel & Sam are back after their sold-out-pussy-popping tours of ‘No Hat No Play! The Cabaret’ and ‘Shit-Wrecked!’. So sit down, shut up and get ready for them to yank you by your ponytail through a chaotic hour of musical sketch comedy. In the words of Oprah ... YOU get a tension headache! YOU get a tension headache! And YOUUUU get a tension headache!

They’ve got their madonna mics cranked to full volume. They’ve got characters that absolutely do NOT need a solo musical theatre ballad (Angela Anaconda, we’re looking at you - you greyscale bitch) and they’ve got synth lines so dirty it will make you want to take your clothes off and call your ex-girlfriend.

Featuring an all-original soundtrack with songs including ‘Don’t Eat Meat, Eat Your Friends’, ‘Babies Are Cancelled’ and ‘Lesbians Don’t Get The Ick, And That’s Science!’, this is Mel & Sam like you’ve never seen them before ... and there’ll be no fly aways tonight, boys.

About Mel & Sam

Mel & Sam are an award-winning musical comedy duo from Naarm/Melbourne bringing a razor-sharp and polished edge to the cabaret and comedy scenes (with equal measures of chaos and tomfoolery!) They’re queer, they’re horny, they’re cheeky and they’re unhinged, and most importantly, they’re here to stay, having made quite the name for themselves with their three shows ‘No Hat, No Play! The Cabaret’, ‘Shit-Wrecked’ and now 'High Pony'; all of which have toured the country to sold-out crowds and had them coined “the future of Australian comedy” (Herald Sun). Mel & Sam are all about bringing a slick and youthful flavour to the world of comedy cabaret all whilst proudly filling that hunger for some good ol' Gen Z fuckery! Together, the pair also have a Spotify-Original podcast ‘Mel & Sam (On A Sexy Lil’ Mic)' and a recent Green Room win under their belt for 'Best Original Songs'.

    The entrance to the venue is on Lygon St. You can head up the front stairs and through the main doors, from there head right to get to the Loading Dock.
    If you need step free access, there is lift at the front of the building and our team will be able to guide you from there to the Loading Dock.

    Once you're in the Loading Dock you can head west down the corridor and up the stairs to Common Rooms. There is also a lift if you are unable to take the stairs.
