Following a creative development period, internationally-renowned children’s theatre company Polyglot and the award-winning Elbow Room bring you a work-in-progress showing of their first collaboration – Hear Me Roar. The project explores the pervasive power of stereotypes on children. Presented in partnership with Melbourne Fringe, this special showing for children aged 8-12 and their adults is your chance to influence the outcome of the project, and maybe even the title... This project was seeded by City of Melbourne through ArtPlay’s New Ideas Lab, and is supported by Melbourne Fringe, the Australia Council for the Arts, and Playwriting Australia through their Ignition Program.
“The playfulness and curiosity of the children was palpable and irresistible... This is a show that reminds you that a key word in theatre is play.” Alison Croggon, Witness Performance, 2018
