Synopsis

A series of pregnant silhouettes illustrated with traditional symbols and markings to express the gratitude I have for woman, their importance and their power in this world.

I want to share and express my experiences of pregnancy, birthing and motherhood. The creation stories will expand on my birth trauma from my first birth to my healing journey with my second birth.

I will depict my growth, my strength and my learnings shared throughout this experience. Culture starts when we are in the womb, the connection to our mothers blood runs deep.

The art of pregnancy. Such a beautiful and empowering time in a woman's life. The creation of life and how incredible the woman's body is in its ability to provide for another human.
