PLEASE NOTE: THE 2018 MELBOURNE FRINGE FESTIVAL SEASON OF GARLIC BREATH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
No script. No set-up. No backstory. Just a man in a spotlight on a stage, taking his cue from the audience. One word, any word will send him off, taking the audience with him on a journey into our collective Subconscious.
Evangelos Arabatzis is an actor, writer and director who divides his time between Melbourne and New York.
He has performed extensively off-Broadway, including Whitelisted Theatre Company's production of The Hurtling Stillness at Producers Club Theatres, and the sold-out Comedy Improv show Call My Dog.
His plays have been performed off-Broadway and in short play festivals both in New York and Melbourne.
GARLIC BREATH is his first ever one-man show, three years in the making, workshopped on stage, in cafes and with fellow artists in Melbourne and New York.
Arabatzis has a love for improv and the magic of the spontaneous moment. Although tempted to write a one-man show he is more interested in surprising both himself and the audience by what lies beneath what we Think we want to say.
Produced by Teresa Noble through the Northern Theatre Company.
