From the 2018 Winner of Best Dance Melbourne Fringe, Eyes Wide Open explores an unstable world at its tipping point.
In the age of humans, we determine nature’s survival. Having disconnected and artificially manipulated the natural world so profoundly, how do we relearn to understand our bodies?
A highly physical work, Eyes Wide Open uses reactive technology and exploratory sound to immerse audience and performers alike. The struggle for balance unfolds as the dancers mimic, repel, dominate and react to an ever-changing soundscape.
Who will break?
What will hold?
The only certainty is it will never stay the same.
This project is amplified by Rosemary Forbes and Ian Hocking as part of Melbourne Fringe’s ShowSupport.
