Two people lie side by side on the ground, their heads close together, surrounded by leaves and debris. The person on the left, wearing a checkered shirt, stares upwards with a contemplative expression. The person on the right, dressed in an orange high-visibility work shirt, also gazes up, their face turned slightly towards the camera. Scattered around them are discarded items like a remote control, a plastic bottle, and a paper cup, adding to the gritty, urban setting.

An underground fire is burning at a suburban Melbourne landfill, filling the air with the smell of toxic waste.

'Dirty Old Town' follows Conor and Jess across a series of meetings, each taking place at critical junctures in their young lives. Set outside a landfill site, their regular spot, 'Dirty Old Town' explores intersecting themes of youth and class as the pair navigate the challenges of their world.

'Dirty Old Town' examines our inherent values, and the possibility of better futures.
